The “Madeleine”

My obsession with anything French continues and overflows into almost every facet of my fashion life. I can recall one of my first experiences as a kid being enthralled with a little Parisian girl by the name of “Madeleine” and all the adventures from her book series.

So as grew up- I’m sure Madeleine did too and I wanted to create a look for her that I would imagine her wearing if she were my age today and the blazer dress came to find.

The “Madeleine” is a double breasted blazer dress that has the duality of being an oversized blazer as well. Like the Jacqueline, Kennedy and Brigitte styles it is made of an intricate French brocade of black and silver metallic pattern that I would like to think that Madeleine would enjoy and as all Devereaux pieces, she is lined with our signature genuine leopard print Italian silk as well as open back vent. Did I also mention she has side pockets.

She is versatile and very grown up in a girl about town kind of way while on the hunt for her next gregarious adventure.
